Estudi dels dibuixos subjacents en l'obra del pintor Jaume Ferrer I: el Retaule de la Pietat del Museu Episcopal de Vic
Un dels debats historiogràfics més rellevants de la pintura del segle XV a les comarques de Lleida té com a protagonista a un pintor de nom Jaume Ferrer I. Les obres atribuïdes a aquest artista inclouen el grup que s'atribueix a la figura de l'anomenat Mestre d'Albatàrrec, la peça signada del Museu de Lleida i el Sant Sopar del Museu Diocesà i Comarcal de Solsona. Si bé és cert que les atribucions a aquest pintor no han estat certificades amb documentació, tampoc ho han estat aquelles hipòtesis que advoquen per relacionar l'esmentat mestre amb el pintor Pere Teixidor. A través de la fotografia digital infraroja hem comparat els dibuixos subjacents de les dues obres esmentades que atribuïm a Jaume Ferrer I amb el Retaule de la Pietat, vinculat al Mestre d'Albatàrrec i conservat al Museu Episcopal de Vic, concloent que totes les obres es executar en el mateix taller.

Si bien es cierto que las atribuciones a este pintor no han sido certificadas con documentación, tampoco lo han sido aquellas hipótesis que abogan por relacionar al citado maestro con el pintor Pere Teixidor. A través de la fotografía digital infrarroja hemos comparado los dibujos subyacentes de las dos obras citadas que atribuimos a Jaume Ferrer I con el Retablo de la Piedad, vinculado al Maestro de Albatàrrec y conservado en el Museu Episcopal de Vic, concluyendo que todas las obras se ejecutaron en el mismo taller.
Study of the underlying drawings in the works of the painter Jaume Ferrer I: the Pietà Altarpiece at the Museu Episcopal de Vic
One of the most important historiographical debates on 15th century painting in the region of Lleida concerns a painter called Jaume Ferrer I. Most of the works attributed to this artist belong to the group formed by the so-called Master of Albatàrrec, along with the signed work in the Museum of Lleida and the Last Supper in the Diocesan and County Museum of Solsona. Although no documentary proof has been provided to certify the attributions to this painter, the arguments in favour of linking the aforementioned master with the painter Pere Teixidor have not been proved either. Using digital infrared photography we have compared the underlying drawings of the two aforementioned works, which we attribute to Jaume Ferrer I, with the Pietà Altarpiece, linked to the Master of Albatàrrec and housed in the Episcopal Museum of Vic, concluding that all these works were produced in the same workshop.
